Dave Fernandez has been a member of vocal enigma since 2012. He has started his musical journey from a very young age when he was an active member of the school junior n senior choirs and perfomed in various school musical functions. He believes that music, dancing n drama is a beautiful getaway from the routine lives we live.
"There is no greater feeling than to get on stage and perform to an audience!"
Nuran is a 21 year old engineering student, who loves singing. He has been a part of many choirs over the past few years which include the Colombo Philharmonic Choir, the Peterite Chorale and of course, Vocal Engima SL. He freelances as a church organist and is an LTCL pianist and currently plays the violin for the Symphony Orchestra Of Sri Lanka.
Ranuk in his prime age started his musical journey with the Choir of St. Peter's College, Colombo 04. Music has always been something close to his heart as he gets the passion from his roots itself.
He was trained vocally by Mrs. Haasinee Andree, Mr. Eshantha De Andrado, Mr. Sanjeev Jayaratnam and Mr. Denver Perera to whom he owes all his professional training and success.
He went on to become the leader of the Choir of St. Peter's College in 2012 and currently performs with the Peterite Chorale too. He was also one of the choral directors for Stage Craft 2015 organized by Informatics Institute of Technology. Ranuk beatboxes for IIT events too.
His choral background stands with the Gospel Singers, The Peterite Chorale, When Hearts Unite and Vocal Enigma under the guidance of many aspired choral directors.
In addition to this Ranuk is a Software Engineering undergraduate who has his own Graphic and Media Startup - EYERIS Creations. He also works as a Volunteer Worker and is a prominent figure in the Sri Lankan Youth Arena. He was awarded the title of Global Citizen for his relentless volunteer work in Indonesia.
Joel one of the newbies to VE has been a part of the young adults and youth choir of the parish of St. Mary's Dehiwela from 2006 to date. His passion for singing is greater than what he does as a profession but chooses to balance his passion and profession accordingly.
“The touch of music can make a change” because of this Joel was able to be a leading member in the committee of a concert named “Touch of Music” which was organized by the United Nations Youth Association (UNYA) which Joel was a part of, along with the CCC Foundation Sri Lanka at his schooling days at St. Joseph's College Col - 10. This concert was in aid to raise funds for a new building constructed in the Cancer Hospital Sri lanka and was featuring leading school choirs and professional choirs such as Marian Singers and Soul Sounds Junior Choir.
"This is a great opportunity for me to be apart of a professional choir such as VE and meet some awesome people in the mix who share the same passion as I do which is music. I can jungle between both tenor and bass, but in VE I've been stamped as a bass from day one so I plan to stay that way.”
